If you’ve ever asked yourself, “How do I label my own beer?”—you’re not alone. Whether you’re planning a one-off promotion, launching a branded beverage for your venue, or looking to impress guests at a wedding or corporate event, labelling your own beer is easier than you think.
At Whitelabel Brewing, we specialise in custom-branded beer and take the stress out of the process by handling everything from brewing to labelling. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Start With a Quality Base Beer
Before you can think about the label, you need a product worth showcasing. We offer three high-quality beer styles to choose from:
- Aussie Lager – Clean, crisp, and crowd-pleasing.
- Pale Ale – A well-balanced, slightly hoppy classic.
- Premium Lager – Smooth and full-flavoured.
Once you’ve picked your beer style, it’s time to get creative.
2. Create Your Label Design
You have full creative control over your label. Want a sleek corporate look? A quirky design for a party? Something retro for your sports club? Go for it! The entire label is yours to customise, with just a few regulatory requirements:
- The legal panel (with standard drink info, barcode, etc.) must remain intact, but the colour can be changed.
- You must include the volume (375ml) and alcohol content on the label.
We provide free basic artwork design to help bring your vision to life. Just send us your logo, any brand colours, and general direction. If your design is highly complex or culturally sensitive, we’ll let you know if there’s an additional fee.
For those designing themselves, be aware:
- AI-generated logos are often low-res and may not print well.
- Apps like Canva can be limiting—make sure to export files in high-resolution CMYK, 300 DPI, and preferably as a print-ready PDF.

3. Let Us Handle the Rest
Once your label is ready, we’ll take care of printing and applying it directly to your cans. Each batch is brewed to order, professionally canned, and delivered to you in plain white cartons—or upgrade to printed boxes and 4-pack clips if you want to take things up a notch.
4. Minimum Order Requirements
Our minimum order is 30 cartons (480 cans), with pricing starting from $51.90 + GST per carton, plus a $90 + GST setup fee. It’s an affordable way to make a big impact with your branding.
Final Thoughts
Labelling your own beer doesn’t have to be complicated. With Whitelabel Brewing, you can create a high-quality, professional-looking beer that reflects your brand, your style, and your message—all without needing to be a designer or a brewer.
